How Dr. Jim Conroy does his work with the Green Centrics™ System:

The Green Centrics™ system puts the tree or plant in the center of importance…coming from its point of view, not a human point of view. Hence, the word “centrics” indicating the “center.”

SEVERAL BASIC PREMISES UNDERPIN THIS WORK:

For more detail, go to the Philosophy page.

1- A tree or any other plant is alive.

2- Stress compromises internal functionality.

3- Three or more stresses lead to decline in trees. Insects and diseases rarely cause stress but are drawn to already-stressed trees, thereby deepening the tree’s stress. Tree stressors are additive.

4- Decline can be reversed even after conventional tree care approaches are exhausted.

5- “Coming from the tree’s point of view” represents a new kind of bio-energetic partnership with Nature and is respectful to all trees.

6- “Hands-On” techniques borrowed from human alternative health care systems are effective for trees, too.

For more detail on each of these points, please go to the Philosophy page.

BRIEFLY, THE GREEN CENTRICS™ TECHNOLOGY CONSISTS OF FIVE PARTS.

STEP 1:

The Practitioner enters a bio-electro-magnetic energy interface with the tree. His or her Life Force or Heart Field is in close proximity with the Growth Energy of the tree.

The “New Sciences” support this experience.

  • Research by the HeartMath™ Institute (www.heartmath.org or www.heartmath.com) has shown that the human heart is not just a pump. It is another brain. Because the heart has as much neural tissue as the brain in the head, it generates its own bio-electro-magnetic field and serves as the locus of additional information processing and intelligence. The HeartMath Institute shows that skill in working with the heart and its intelligence can be learned and augmented.
  • 100 Years of research in Quantum Physics and Quantum Mechanics—the physics of the extremely small—has proven that everything is ultimately energy and all particles in the universe interact.
  • Fritz-Albert Popp, doing research into BioEnergy Fields, quoted in THE INTENTION EXPERIMENT, by Lynn McTaggart, has measured photon emissions from the DNA of living cells. He has concluded that every living thing generates a bio-electro-magnetic field.

Our experience shows that it is possible for the bio-electro-magnetic energy or "Life Force" of a person to interface with and interact with the bio-electro-magnetic energy or "Growth Energy" of a tree or plant.

In educational classes, like Tree Whispering, we teach people to enhance their sensitivities and expand their emotional range in order to have a personal experience of this energy interface with plants and trees. In class and in their own practice-time, students can feel the Growth Energy or Life Force of the tree.

STEP 2:

Once the practitioner has established an interface with the Growth Energy of a tree or other plant, information can be learned and exchanged. So, like an athlete "in the zone", the practitioner uses a combination of right brain and heart-based functions--sometimes called intuition--and the Green Centrics™ system to ask questions about the health status of the tree or plant.

  • A range of research describes all living things as have patterns of organization, dynamic structure and “intelligence” or cognition. This Living Systems Theory, as detailed in THE WEB OF LIFE, by Fritjof Capra, contends that all living systems operate through the use of sophisticated feedback loops; both within their physiology and as a part of their environment.
These feedback loops are compromised by any of 12 stressors.  See list at left.
  • Konstantin Korotkov’s bioenergy fields research, quoted in THE INTENTION EXPERIMENT, shows that there is a two-way flow of information between living beings. This has verified Cleve Backster’s “lie detector” work made famous from The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird.

The Green Centrics practitioner relies on his or her scientific knowledge and experience with trees and plants as a vital part of the process. Then, he or she asks about what plant parts and functions are compromised by stresses and how those inter-relate in feedback loops. This is like finding which instruments in the orchestra are playing out of tune or off beat.

The Green Centrics system's centerpiece is a scientific diagram–a sophisticated checklist used as a process of elimination to zero-in on those dysfunctions INSIDE of the tree or plant. Treatment priorities are found at deep levels inside of the botanical parts and functions, plant systems, plant chemistry, circulation, genetic factors, environmental factors, seasonal or cyclical aspects and various other new-science attributes.

Use of the checklist is fundamentally based on the skill of coming from the tree’s point of view.

The practitioner is coming from the tree's point of view...not their own human point of view...to find out what is going on for the tree. So, the system is not designed to merely diagnose external symptoms but rather to treat the ‘big picture’ and find the priority dysfunctions INSIDE of the plant that need repair.

There is no formula for this since each tree's situation is a unique jigsaw puzzle.

Step 3:

The experience of being in an energy interface with a tree-client parallels that of other holistic and alternative health care practitioners with their human or animal clients.

Results are well documented in human holistic/alternative health care systems. A growing number of reputable hospitals have included holistic approaches like Yoga, Touch-For-Health, Healing Touch, Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Reiki in their "whole person" treatment of serious conditions like Cancer.

Changes in the human body and mind result from the techniques that alternative systems employ. Techniques include

  • Breathing
  • Imagining or visualization
  • Touching, tapping
  • Focused attention and intentional concentration

In most cases the practitioner uses the techniques. In other cases, the person who owns the tree or plant can do certain techniques, too. Sometimes, both. In all cases, the techniques often prove effective in reaching the desired result.

Human alternative health care approaches and systems with excellent track records of results using those techniques include

  • Theraputic Touch
  • Touch for Health™
  • Acupressure
  • Homeopathy
  • EMDR™-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
  • EFT™-Emotional Freedom Technique
  • Matrix Energetics™
  • Bodytalk™
  • Feldenkrais™ Method
  • and many more.

In developing the Green Centrics™ system, Dr. Jim Conroy borrowed those hands-on, touching and tapping techniques combined with focused attention and intentional concentration to repair both the tree's or plant's internal physiology as well as its relationship to its environment.

For example: In conventional medical approaches, a person with a blocked heart artery might get a stint surgically placed into that artery. Surgery of this kind is not possible for a tree even though their circulation systems are often impaired. When circulation is impaired, other related parts and systems are negatively impacted.

Step 4:

Dynamic balance is restored in the tree.

Inner functionality is operating in re-established feedback loops. The tree no longer needs to compensate for lost functionality.

The “orchestra” in the tree is playing harmoniously again: in tune, on beat and the same piece of music.

Step 5:

By working with the Growth Energy of the blocked part or degraded system as well as the whole tree, the Green Centrics™ practitioner can redirect that energy from the downward or declining spiral it may be currently in to an upward, growing and positively-reinforcing spiral.

When the tree's energy is moving upward, it can then heal itself. Decline can thus be reversed.

There is a perceptible shift in the flow and direction of that energy for those attuned to be sensitive to it.
