As of July 2009, The Tree Whisperer has made 4 trips to Colorado. Please scroll down to see the progressive results as follows on Marie's property:
- "Birdhouse Tree" shown in successive visits.
- 2 Significant Trees: "L'il Pardner" and "Lone Star" shown in side-by-side comparisons.
- The Panorama with the Blue Spruce shown side-by-side.
For a detailed explanation of Dr. Jim's findings, please go to the Colorado Pines main page.

1st Visit: Late October, 2007
Marie's property is in one of the hardest hit areas of Colorado: Grand County. Mountainsides had already been red with dead and dying Lodge Pole Pines by the time we got there in 2007. Piles of cut trees littered the landscape.
The Lodge Pole Pine where Dr. Jim Conroy, The Tree Whisperer, is working (seen in a blue jacket) is across from Marie's front door and at the top of a slope containing hundreds of small to medium size trees. We call this tree the "Birdhouse Tree" because it has 2 birdhouses hanging in it. Marie says that no birds have nested there in the last several years...until now. In Spring of 2009, a family of Chickadees is being raised there.
Another tree is in the far left of the shot. Note that it is mostly green... but look closely to see brown tips already on this tree. The brown tips indicate that it is in early stages of decline.

2nd Trip: May, 2008 The "Birdhouse Tree" is doing well. It came through the winter and is green with new growth.
The other tree that showed signs of a few red needles has progressed toward death.
In the photo below, note the bird houses and the new, lush growth of needles.

|
3rd trip: October, 2008 The "Birdhouse Tree" has gone through another "fly" of the Pine Bark beetles. It is still green and shows lush growth. There are no signs of reddening of the needles.
Note that the surrounding trees are similarly green.

Significant Tree: "L'il Pardner" The pictures above show Dr. Jim Conroy touching and healing the "Birdhouse Tree" as a part of his holistic healing work.
"L'il Pardner" is another tree on Marie's property. What is noteable about this tree is that Dr. Jim did not specifically touch this tree. "L'il Pardner" is simply nearby but received treatment anyway since it is in the Lodge Pole Pine community of trees.
